KaRa Maria Ananda has over 12 years experience as a Conscious Birth Ambassador. She has provided holistic support to hundreds of families as a Perinatal and Infant Bodyworker and Craniosacral Therapist, Birth and Postpartum Doula, Conscious Birthing Educator, Birth Circle Facilitator, Birth Doula Trainer, and Birth Bodywork Educator. She has worked with numerous community birth networks and independent childbirth and doula education organizations to promote conscious birthing education, including Birth Arts International, the Birth Companion Network, the Lane County Birth Network, and the Green Mountain Doula Guild. Her workshops and public speaking for Conscious Birthing have brought her to teach throughout the US, including Hawaii and Alaska, and at the Midwifery Today Conference 2009 and the Association for Pre-and Perinatal Psychology and Health Congress 2005. KaRa is also a mother of a homebirthed and vibrantly healthy son who has been an excellent teacher.
