What will happen when you join an international collective of hoop teachers, dancers, yogis, visionaries, and healing artists to co-create a confluence of spiraling bliss on the island of Bali this year? All are invited to the first-ever Sacred Circularities Hoop Dance Retreat in Bali this March 23-28, 2010, from beginning hoopers to experienced hoop teachers and performers. We will all grow in our personal unique connection to the Sacred Hoop, and gain skills to share with our communities worldwide.

We, KaRa Maria and Jahsah of Circles of Alchemy, are exceedingly thrilled to be co-presenting a Hoop Alchemy Immersion: Transformational Healing, Therapeutic Movement, and Creative Activation through the Sacred Hoop during the six day retreat. The Hoop Alchemy immersion is a foundational hoop training integrating the healing art of hooping, hoopdance, hoopyoga, bodywork, new physics, sacred geometry, and sound healing. This immersion will include a special Aqua Alchemy Sound Activation with supported floatation, bodywork, and sound healing in the pool. This visionary hoop immersion is designed for hoop enthusiasts, teachers, performers, dancers, and yogis to deepen their practice and become Hoop Alchemists!

Transformation, healing, activation, insights, and magic will be some of the alchemical occurrences happening daily at the Sacred Circularities Hoop Dance Retreat at the Purnati Center for the Arts in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. Jaguar Mary is the Visionary Goddess who is our Sacred Circularities hostess, organizing the whole retreat and dreaming this gathering into being. Jaguar Mary is a globe-trotting documentary filmmaker, event organizer, and conscious community leader who fell in love with the hoop and is spreading the hoop joy throughout her travels, as well as through the DC Hoop Collective. JaMa is an activational conscious visionary who is an absolute joy to be around, inspiring you to spiral deeper into your self, spirit, and community.

Jocelyn Gordon is a dynamic hoop teacher from DC who is leading an incredible hoop immersion in Hoop Dance Yoga and Bhakti Boogie during the retreat. The four full days of the retreat offer attendees opportunity to spend three hours a day with Jocelyn and three hours a day in the Hoop Alchemy immersion. She is also leading a Hoopnotica Level 1 Teacher training the day before the Sacred Circularities retreat starts in Bali. Jocelyn is the founder of LoveMovement Healing Arts and Bhakti Boogie, and I'm so thrilled to be co-presenting with this amazing woman! We both have backgrounds in hooping, dance, yoga, massage therapy, and the healing arts and our two immersions are so complementary and synergized co-creating an epic experience in Bali!

Kandice Korves-Kaus is the Fire Hoop powerhouse of Holistic Hooping, that will be sharing energizing and illuminating Fire Hoop Alchemy circles at Sacred Circularities. Kandice and her husband Andrew are Hoop Visionaries and Inventors creating beautiful fire hoops and LED hoops. Kandice also brings to her hoopdance teachings from her background in the healing arts, movement arts, and performance arts. In 2004 Kandice and I co-facilitated a Hooping for Whirled Peace event in Center Camp at Burning Man, and I'm so excited to be co-facilitating an event with her again at last! We've shared in our passions for hooping, healing, conscious living, physics, and sacred geometry over the past 7 years and her Holistic Hoopology will inspire the Sacred Circularities Retreat!

Jahsah brings his conscious live music of the didgeridoo, drums, crystal bowls, wing, fused with inspirational dance music to co-create an amazing experience for the Hoop Alchemy immersion. Jahsah integrates his background in massage therapy, energy healing, aquatic therapies, sound healing, and visionary art to facilitate transformational healing and experiences. Jahsah has shared his gifts of healing sounds throughout the US, Europe, Japan, Thailand, Egypt, and more. The conscious musical inspiration of circular sounds, primal rhythms, and fusion dance music will inspire our Hoop Alchemy Immersion, taking us through meditation, yoga, dance, and healing.

I, KaRa, founded Mandala Hoops in 2003 and have been sharing the Healing Art of HoopDance and HoopYoga through workshops and events since. I integrate my 13 years of experience in the healing arts fields of massage therapy, craniosacral therapy, aquatic healing, conscious birthing, ecstatic dance, natural medicine, and movement arts into my philosophy and hoop practice. The leading-edge teachings of sacred geometry, physics, and spiral dynamics inspire my ongoing passion for HoopDance. In 2009, Jahsah and I co-created Circles of Alchemy and are taking the hoop arts to the next level through Hoop Alchemy - fusing visionary hoop arts with healing music to co-create a transformational immersion into the Sacred Hoop. We are ecstatic to be sharing Hoop Alchemy in Bali this March!

Troy Lyon is a superb massage therapist and bodyworker offering amazing healing sessions during the Bali retreat. I've received excellent massages from Troy at Hoop Convergence and Hoop Camp in 2009 and as a massage therapist of over 12 years experience I can attest that Troy is awesome! He has great experience tending to the specific needs of hoop artists, as well as athletes in general. I awoke with a a terrible neck pain the morning I was to teach at HoopCamp in 2009 and Troy completely saved me with an emergency massage that allowed me to release the pain and totally rock my workshop that afternoon. Troy will also be sharing AcroYoga in the Hoop Alchemy immersion. I'm so glad that he will be in Bali sharing and caring for the healing needs of our community!

Lynda Vigil is a powerful healer with a wise connection to how the body moves and works. She brings her background in massage therapy, acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Medicine to her healing work. We are so fortunate to have her dynamic natural healing heart nurturin us in Bali. Lynda will be offering her healing sessions to our Sacred Circularities Retreat rounding out our amazing team of leading visionary healers of the body, mind, spirit, and Sacred Hoop.

Together we will be co-creating an Opening Circle and Blessing, the spiral of Sacred Circularities workshops, playtime, fun, healing, hooping, and connecting, and finally a Closing Circle and Blessing. Honoring the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit we will weave a connection between our Dance, Consciousness, Community, Healing, Planet, and Universe. Our hoop arts will evolve to new levels of expression, awareness, and creativity - our bodies, minds, hearts, and spirits will rejoice throughout the experience of this loving gift to ourselves of the Sacred Circularities Hoop Dance Retreat.

The hoop action continues on in Bali! After the retreat is over, the Balispirit Festival begins on March 31st, also hosted at the Purnati Center for the Arts in Ubud, Bali. Join the Sacred Circularities crew as we offer a selection of Hoop workshops during the Balispirit Festival. This is an amazing festival of international conscious dance, yoga, and music artists, including Shiva Rea, Lynx & Jamie Janover, Nick Woolsey, and lots more...

This New Year came in powerful and strong with creative energy and manifesting opportunities. Can you believe it's already February 2010? Life is indeed accelerating faster, and we are surfing the big changes of the New Millennium, co-creating the visionary arts community through healing, living food, music, art, and conscious empowerment.

We've been on retreat in a magic cabin high on Mount Shasta in California enjoying lots of snow and living off-the-grid. We are having a highly creative winter and preparing several exciting new projects to announce soon, creating art, music, writing, online classes, and new workshops & retreats! We're also busy getting ready for our trip to Bali in March & April for the Sacred Circularities Hoop Dance Retreat and the BaliSpirit Festival.
